Overview

At the moment a baby is placed in waiting arms, a parent emerges. Day after day, month after month, you must meet your responsibilities. Parenthood reaps wonderful benefits. With awe, parents watch their children grow until they leave the nest. While children were at home your responsibilities were obvious, but now that they have moved out, you are left with a quiet house and many decisions. What will you do?

In some cultures, children stay home until they marry. In America, children often move out at the end of high school. The benefit of this early departure is that the parents still have energy left to expend in another direction; all that remains is to find out where.
