Overview
The X-Men movies touch the hearts of those who feel they don’t quite fit in, which seems to be a large majority of us. This installment of the X-Men saga goes back in time to the 1960s and the Cuban Missile Crisis, as well as the events of World War 2, to set the stage for what is to come.

Movie Summary
Discussing the Scenes
1. Erik, aka Magneto—Fighting the Need for Revenge
(Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 5:38–39; Romans 12:19; 1 Peter 2:23)
Erik, who eventually becomes Magneto, certainly has reason to hate Shaw and want revenge. We can all understand his rage when Shaw kills his mother. But Scripture tells us to leave revenge to God, the only one who can execute it righteously.
2. Xavier, aka Professor X—Doing What Is Right in Spite of Temptation
(Matthew 6:13; Mark 14:38; Luke 8:13; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Galatians 6:1)
Charles Xavier becomes more focused throughout the film. By the end he is the steadfast and stalwart person we’ve come to know in later X-Men movies.
3. Raven, aka Mystique—Fighting the Need to Fit In
(Proverbs 3:26; Exodus 34:6; Psalm 33:5; Romans 8:31–38)
Raven wants to be normal and fit in more than anything else. That desire leads her down a deadly path.
