Overview

The writer of a New York Times article on globalization seemed surprised to discover that evangelical churches in the United States are among the country’s leading international enterprises. That’s no surprise to the members of any mission-minded congregation. What is startling is Mark Galli’s fear that evangelicals are losing their edge—that we’re allowing what’s behind our global concern to lose its importance. What motivates our global enterprise? In this study, we’ll look at the biblical and historical imperatives that should prevent us from becoming isolationists.
