Overview

Set in an evangelical high school, Saved! follows a Christian teen thrown into a crisis of faith and others’ judgment when she becomes pregnant while trying to “save” her gay boyfriend. While the hypocritical Hilary Faye attacks Mary, the pregnant teen finds love and acceptance from the school’s only non-Christians, Roland and Cassandra.

This guide gives an overview of Christian reaction to Saved! and offers discussion questions to help you assess the issues the movie raises. Some Christians see this movie as portraying all evangelicals as hypocritical, judgmental, and intolerant. Other Christians believe there that the church can learn from the movie’s observations about evangelical culture.
