Christianity Today senior writer Tim Stafford compares George Barna to an Old Testament prophet who sees the sinful state of the people, declares the coming judgment, and laments when the people fail to heed his warning. George Barna may not be a true prophet, but his angst over the state of American Christianity does make him a little like one. In this study, we’ll look at Barna’s assessment of our churches. And we’ll turn to an Old Testament prophet whose cry was heard and heeded.
