Feasting on the Word

Principles for respecting, understanding, and applying Scripture.

This study is based on the book Growing Toward Spiritual Maturity from the Evangelical Training Association. This is the fourth study in our 12-study course available for purchase here.

Overview

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Big Idea:The purpose of this lesson is that students will learn to “feast” on the Word of God. In order to feast at the King’s table, we must follow his rules of etiquette.

At the conclusion of this study the students will be able to:

• respect the authority of God’s Word;
• understand and practice appropriate principles for interpreting Scripture;
• apply the principles learned in their study of Scripture to their daily lives.
