Overview

Last month many Christians received more solicitations from charities than usual. Whether it's the bell rung by a kettle-toting Santa or a heart-tugging letter, seemingly hand addressed, from an impoverished country, the appeals are loud and clear. And most of the time, they work. In his article, Ken Waters surveys some of the methods used by Christian charities. In this study, we examine the obligations we have to people in need and the organizations that help them.
