Overview
In our current culture, we are surrounded by sexual temptation—from movies, to magazines, to coworkers, to pornography in many forms. For the Christian single, the constant battle almost can seem too much to bear. As Jason Illian says in his article, some have even suggested that the only answer is to seclude ourselves from our culture or to pray for God to take away our fleshly desires. What does God say to single people about keeping their physical desires in check? Is it even possible to stay pure—especially given the sensual culture we live in? How necessary is it for us to involve other people to help us stay pure? What should we look for in an accountability partner? How much should we be willing to confess?
